The Spellbinding Panorama Route
If you love history and breathtaking mountainscapes, our Panorama Tour is for you! Widely considered to be one of the most beautiful destinations in South Africa, the Blyde River Canyon (also known as the Motlatse Canyon), forms the hub of the Panorama Route. The area is steeped in history or gold diggers, legendary traders, Voortrekkers and colourful tribes and cultures, and here, the confluence of these role-players was almost as turbulent as the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers, at the Bourke’s Luck Potholes!
The Blyde River Canyon is believed to be the world’s largest green canyon, and is the third largest canyon in the world. Along it’s path, you will find the spellbinding stops that make up the Panorama Route. These include the 3 Rondavels, God’s Window, Wonder View, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and 6 majestic waterfalls! This is a trip that will have you feeling on top of the world – literally! It is said that on a clear day, you can see all the way to Mozambique from God’s Window…
The ‘Pano’ Tour is an all day excursion that costs R 2500 pp (min. 4 pax). This includes entry fees and a light packed breakfast. All other beverages and meals are for the guest’s account.
